How do I check-in?
Check-in: The Den is a self-check-in hotel, where online check-in is required before you can receive your door code to enter the hotel.
Two days before your arrival date, and again on the day before your arrival, we send you an email with your self-check-in instructions and link. If you booked directly on our website, our emails are sent to the email address you used for your booking (if you don't see the emails in your inbox, please check your spam or junk mail folder).
However, if you booked on a travel site such as Booking.com or Expedia, or one of the many Expedia partner sites like Hotels.com, Vrbo, Travelocity, Orbitz, Trivago, Hotwire, etc., those sites don't provide us with a direct email address for you, or a phone number. Instead, they create a temporary email address connected to your reservation, which causes the emails we send to be routed exclusively through their site's traveler messaging system. To find those self-check-in emails from us, please look through your Booking.com or Expedia messages inbox. If you just booked your room today, for a stay tonight, note that the travel sites often do a security review of the emails before letting them go through to you, so their arrival may be delayed by a few hours.
Exceptions: Some Expedia third-party ("B2B network") bookings are from travel sites that do not participate in the Expedia messaging system, including Capital One Travel and Egencia. These sites don't send us your direct email address or phone number, and without access to the messaging system, we have no way of initiating contact with you. In that situation, you must contact us and provide your direct email address, so we can update your reservation and send your self-check-in email to you. We apologize for this circumstance, but it's beyond our control, and we've expressed our concerns to Expedia many times. Please contact us via the Contact button located in the lower right corner of our webpages.
Door Code: Please complete the online check-in prior to your arrival at the hotel, if possible, so you'll have your code and be ready to enter. Be sure to correctly enter your direct email address on the check-in form, because your code will be sent there. If you've checked-in online in advance, your access code will be active starting at 3:00 PM on your arrival date, and you'll need this code for the hotel front door, hallway doors, and your room door. Your code will remain enabled for all hours until check-out time on your departure date.
If you're at the hotel and just now completed online check-in, and it's after 3 PM on your arrival date, it may take several minutes for your code to be activated on the doors; please wait a few minutes and try your code again.
Luggage: Luggage storage is available at various businesses, shops, and lockers in the area, and you can find and reserve a place via apps like Bounce or LuggageHero or Stasher or Vertoe.
Due to space limitations and housekeeping schedules at our small hotel, we're sorry we're not able to offer early check-in or late check-out, or store luggage at the hotel before check-in time or after check-out time. We appreciate your understanding.
